London: Day One

London Day One

It still feels like a dream, that just 10 days ago I was in London! I pinched myself the entire time we were there! Going through our photos, I thought it would be fun to share a day by day of what we did, where we went, the food we ate, and some outfit details. It is Spring in London, but their version of Spring is a little different thanGeorgia! It was pretty chilly the whole week, but we had beautiful sunny days!

These are not the best quality of photos, the first day we only used our iPhone for pictures, as our nice camera was packed. I always chose comfort when I fly, and if I am going somewhere that requires rain boots, I typically wear them on the plane to conserve room in my suitcase.

Burberry Scarf / Tory Burch sunnies (my favorite) Handbag Louis Vuitton (I always travel with a cross body, it is easy to carry and fits the necessities)

Ten hours later, the next day London time and we were there! This picture really explains how I felt about being in London, and finished with the longest day of traveling! If you know me, you know I have a thing for matching pajama sets! I love them and can never have too many! I recently monogrammed several of my pajama sets, and I love them even more!

Once we got settled into our room and ate dinner, I was struggling to stay awake, and it was only six o’ clock! So, Tom thought it would be a good idea to go for a walk to make us stay awake as long as we could. I did not want to get out of the bed, but I am so glad we did! This ended up being my favorite night of the entire week! Little did we know, our hotel was a three minute walk from Buckingham Palace!

We started walking through Hyde Park, which was right across the street from where we stayed, and all of a sudden we found ourselves at the gates of the Palace! It was awesome and it felt like we were the only ones there! We learned Sunday night is a great night to sightsee without all the mobs of people. We walked around the property for about an hour and watched the sunset.

The sky was so beautiful and the weather could not have been better. Of course, we didn’t have our nice camera with us, so all of these photos are from our phones. I was mad at first that we couldn’t capture this beautiful night with our good camera, but we savored the moment just the two of us. It was such a romantic night. I could not have asked for a better start to the trip!

The very next morning, we walked back to this same spot and there were people everywhere! I am so happy Tom made me get out of the bed! I will be sharing the rest of our trip throughout the next two weeks! Stay tuned, I promise the quality of pictures get better!
